Build Progress and Current Events

4/13/08- Viva Michelin!


In one week we will be testing our 2008 car for the first time at LPG. Things are in full swing this week as are prepairing for the first time that we put the '08 car into opperation. We will be joining Auburn and Georgia Tech at the test.

11/10/07- More Testing!


This Saturday, Clemson FSAE joined Auburn University and Georgia Tech for some testing at Michelin's Laurens Proving Grounds. It was a very productive day for data collection and driver training. We would like to thank Michelin once again for all their help and for allowing us to use their facilities!

10/19/07- Tigerama 2007 Appearance


The car from 2005 made an appearance in Alpha Delta Pi's skit in Tigerama, a sort of school-wide pep rally. The car from 2006 was also showed off at the pre-show.

10/15/07- Michelin LPG Testing


This Saturday, the team took a trip down to Michelin's Laurens Proving Grounds to conduct some tire testing. We took along two cars and ran tests with each. After dealing with some minor problems during the day, we learned a great deal that will help us down the road.

9/25/07


The jig table has been completed and construction of the new chassis has started. The new design is almost finalized and this year's car will have a few major changes that should help a lot with handling and overall speed.

9/29/07


The 2006 car has been reassembled for use as a test car. After a quick run and a thorough check, a few minor details were found that need to be addressed. Once those are squared away, the car will be ready for use as a test car.
